Dr. Marianne Beisheim is Senior Researcher at Stiftung Wissenschaft und Politik (SWP) – German Institute for International and Security Affairs. Her research focuses on sustainable development governance. Currently, she analyses the follow-up and review of the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and the work of the UN High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development. Since 2006, she directs a DFG-funded research project on multi-stakeholder partnerships for sustainable development. Marianne Beisheim is a member of the UN-Political Advisory Board of the Federal Foreign Office, the Research Council of the United Nations Association Germany, the Executive Committee of the Development and Peace Foundation (SEF), and the UNITAR Advisory Council „Capacity Development for the 2030 Agenda“. From 2003 till 2010 she was Assistant Professor at the Freie Universität Berlin. Previous to this, she has worked as a Research Associate for the German Parliament and the University of Bremen.
