Miriam Block is an active member of the network n for students who aim to make universities more sustainable. The network n works together with the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the German Council for Sustainable Development and UNESCO in order to contribute to policy discussions on sustainability and education as well as working on establishing a capacity building program.
She is currently studying a M.Sc. in psychology and has initiated several student initiatives on sustainable development, for which she won the “1. Hamburger Zukunftspreis” award. Miriam actively engages in higher education politics with fellow students and (young) professionals to address e.g. issues of food waste and the need to minimize the ecological footprints of the German population.
